Course Description
This CPD training equips health professionals to assess and diagnose ADHD in teens and adults. It focuses on internalised, subtle, and non-stereotyped presentations that are frequently missed or misattributed in clinical practice.
The training is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming and evidence-based frameworks. It aligns with the AADPA Australian Evidence-Based Clinical Practice Guideline for ADHD. You will learn how to move beyond checklist-driven diagnosis and strengthen your clinical reasoning when working with complex ADHD presentations.
You will explore ADHD through an executive functioning framework. The course covers screening tools, structured diagnostic interviewing using the DIVA-5, differential diagnosis, and report writing. Emphasis is placed on integrating multi-source data to support clear and defensible diagnostic conclusions.
By the end of the training, you will have a structured and contemporary approach to ADHD assessment that reflects current Australian standards and strengthens diagnostic clarity.
