About This Event

For decades, autism has been understood through the lens of externalised traits—often based on young, white, cis boys. But many Autistic people don’t fit those outdated stereotypes. They mask. They compensate. They learn to cope in ways that hide their distress. As a result, they are often missed—especially women, people of colour, gender diverse individuals, and those with higher IQ.

This webinar brings you up to speed with the most current understanding of autism, and helps you recognise what’s been long overlooked.

Learning Objectives

  • A clearer, up-to-date understanding of autism—based on the latest evidence

  • A more holistic view of autistic traits that goes beyond the simple checklists in diagnostic manuals

  • Real-life, practical examples of traits that are often missed or misunderstood

  • How to recognise less obvious signs of autism with more confidence—even if you’re not the one doing the diagnosing
