Course Description
ADHD is frequently misunderstood in clinical settings. Many clients present with internalised, subtle, or high-masking profiles that do not align with stereotypical descriptions.
This training is not a diagnostic course. Instead, it focuses on helping clinicians understand ADHD through contemporary, evidence-based frameworks grounded in neurobiology and executive functioning science.
You will learn how to conceptualise ADHD beyond surface-level symptom checklists, using current models that explain attentional regulation, motivation, inhibition, and emotional regulation differences. The aim is to deepen your clinical understanding so that your formulation and therapeutic work reflect how ADHD actually presents in real life.
In addition to strengthening conceptual clarity, the training introduces practical management strategies tailored to ADHD. These approaches support regulation, planning, engagement, and sustainable change, without reinforcing deficit-based narratives.
