About
A practical, affirming training for anyone who wants to understand autism more accurately. For decades, autism has been understood through the lens of externalised traits. But many Autistic people don’t fit those outdated stereotypes. They mask, they compensate, and they learn to cope in ways that hide their distress. As a result, they are often missed—especially women, people of colour, gender diverse individuals, and those with higher IQ. This 3-hour training brings you up to speed with the most current understanding of autism. This is a practical, neurodiversity-affirming training designed to help you better recognise and understand autistic traits across the lifespan, including those with internalised or 'masked' presentations. What You’ll Learn: -A clearer, up-to-date understanding of autism—based on the latest evidence -Real-life, practical examples of autistic traits across the lifespan that are often missed or misunderstood -How to recognise less obvious signs of autism with more confidence—even if you’re not the one doing the diagnosing Who Is This For? Health Professionals: Psychologists, GPs, OTs, speech pathologists, therapists, and allied health professionals who work with Autistic clients. Educators & Support Staff: Teachers, learning support staff, and disability workers supporting neurodivergent students in school or community settings. Parents, Partners & Curious Community Members: If you support, care for, or are exploring autism in yourself or a loved one. If you support Autistic people, or are exploring that possibility yourself, this training is for you. You will receive a 3-hour CPD certificate on completion of the training.
